Jersey Gardens Mall Locked Down After False Reports Of Shooting

ELIZABETH, NJ - The Mills at Jersey Gardens mall in Elizabeth was locked down following false reports of a shooting, City officials say Monday.

"We are receiving multiple calls about a shooting at Jersey Gardens-this is not true, no shots were fired, Elizabeth officals tweeted.

A lockdown had been placed at the mall after a fight broke out in the food court, city officials said.

The fight is now under control and the lock down was lifted. No injuries reported and business is resuming.

The Elizabeth Police are remaining highly visible as a precaution.
