Robbery, Shoplifting, Theft Arrests Made In Clark
Criminal mischief was also reported to two vehicles parked in town, according to the Clark Police blotter.
CLARK, NJ — Clark Police reported making multiple arrests including of a town local for theft.
Clark Police blotter:
On Aug. 13 at 10 a.m.: Police arrested Jaylen Nichols, 19, of Cliffside Park for robbery. He was subsequently transported to the Union County Jail. Det. Daniel Joy and Det. Bruce McDonald were the arresting officers.

On Aug. 14 at 10:19 a.m.: In the vicinity of Valley Road, police arrested Jamal Boston, 36, of Rahway on outstanding warrants, totaling $1,000, from Rahway. He was subsequently
turned over to the Rahway Police Department. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the arresting
officer.
On Aug. 14 at 10:46 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Esmerlin Rivera-Paz, 31, of Perth Amboy for lewdness. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Det. Michael Ciaccio was the arresting officer.

On Aug. 14 at 11:56 p.m.: Police arrested James Sherrier, 34, of Rahway for shoplifting merchandise valued at $203.50 from the ShopRite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. He was
subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Tom Gucwa was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 15 at 7:51 a.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at a residence on Westfield Avenue. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Alex Yanes was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 15 at 8:46 p.m.: Police took a report of criminal mischief to a motor vehicle that was parked at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Omer Olmeda
was the investigating officer.
On Aug. 15 at 9:04 p.m.: At headquarters, police arrested Jose Batista, 58, of Clark for theft
of movable property. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Daniel Joy was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 16 at 4:53 p.m.: Police arrested James Sherrier, 34, of Linden for shoplifting merchandise
valued at $729.92 from the Target Department Store at 76 Central Ave. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Brandon McKenna was the arresting officer.
On Aug. 17 at 3:58 p.m.: Police arrested Matthew Kessler, 28, of Colonia for shoplifting merchandise valued at $22.17 from the ShopRite Supermarket at 76 Central Ave. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Police Officer Brandon McKenna was the arresting officer.
