Tax Collector Scam Reported In Clark

Breaking: Multiple residents have reported receiving a call from an person claiming they where from the townships tax office.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police are warning residents about a tax collector scam going around the township. Multiple residents have reported receiving a call from a person claiming they were from the townships tax office. The person then stated that the resident was delinquent on their property taxes and needed to provide payment immediately.

"These scams are usually perpetrated on the elderly so do not keep this information to yourself. Please alert your senior friends, family and neighbors. do you part to protect your community," Clark Police stated through Nixle.
