Teen Wanted For Slapping Woman's Butt In Roselle Park

The young man on a bike made several inappropriate comments towards a woman walking and struck her on her buttocks, police report.

ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Authorities are looking for a teenager wanted for harassing and inappropriately touching a woman walking in Roselle Park on Tuesday.

The adult woman reported walking eastbound on East Westfield Avenue in Roselle Park on Apri 16 at around 5:11 p.m. when a younger man on a bike approached her, Roselle Park Police said.

The man allegedly made several inappropriate comments towards the woman and she asked him to leave her alone, police said.

She said that while dialing 911, the man struck her on her buttocks with his hand and rode
away toward the center of town, police said.

The suspect was described as a younger man possibly between the ages of 16 and 18 years old, wearing a black bomber style jacket, glasses, and an unknown color hat. He was last seen riding from the area on an unknown make bicycle, police report.

Police searched the area but did not find the man.

This investigation is ongoing and is being conducted by Detective Mitchell White of the Roselle Park Police Detective Bureau.
