These Union County Schools Ranked Among Top 200 In NJ For 2019

UNION COUNTY, NJ — Several Union County schools have been ranked among the top 200 in New Jersey for 2019, by Niche.com.

The county-wide schools are:

• 7. Union County Magnet High School, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• 20. Academy for Allied Health Science, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• 24. Academy for Information Technology, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• 75. Union County Vocational-Technical High School, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
• 143. Academy for Performing Arts, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)

Niche.com, which specializes in all different types of rankings, has released a new 2019 list that is a bit different than the usual rankings the company is known for. In this one, Niche has ranked what it says are the top 200 schools in New Jersey, both private and public schools. It includes elementary, middle and high schools all in the same list. In this list, Niche prefers private schools. The first four out of five spots are all reserved for private schools. The first public school to crack the list is Bergen County Academies in Hackensack at number three. The first Union County public school to make the list is Union County Magnet High School at number 7. But there are plenty of other public schools on this list.

• 94. Washington Elementary School, Summit (public, 1-5)
• 106. Governor Livingston High School, Berkeley Heights (public, 9-12)
• 143. Academy for Performing Arts, Scotch Plains (public, 9-12)
