Three Cars Burglarized Saturday in Clark

The Clark Police Blotter included a township man getting arrested for possession of drugs, two shoplifting arrests and car burglaries.

Clark, NJ -- Three cars were burglarized on Friday, Clark Police report.

Two cars parked at a home on 4 Maple Street were reported burglarized on May 21 at 11:45 a.m.

Another unlocked car, parked at a home at 332 Parkway Drive was also reportedly burglarized, a resident reported on Saturday at 5:02 a.m.

On May 17 at 9:17 p.m.: At Headquarters, police arrested Jeffrey Velez, age 41, married, unemployed of 209 North 9th Street in Kenilworth for shoplifting from the Target Department Store at 45 Central Avenue in Clark. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. Alex Yanes was the Arresting Officer.

On May 18 at 1:04 p.m.: In the vicinity of 122 Central Avenue, police arrested Shawn Sorber, age 44, single, unemployed of 1853 Whittier Street in Rahway for shoplifting from the Shop-Rite Supermarket at 76 Central Avenue in Clark. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Sergio D’Andrea was the Arresting Officer.

On May 18 at 10:40 p.m.: In the vicinity of Brant Avenue, police arrested Dominique Curry, age 21, single, unemployed of 38 Elm Street, Apt. #303 in Paterson for possession of CDS. She was subsequently released on her own recognizance pending a court date. P.O. Matthew Mulroy was the Arresting Officer.

On May 20 at 9:50 a.m.: At 10 Mountain View Road, police arrested Steven Rivera, age 38, single, an inspector of 10 Mountain View Road in Clark for possession of CDS. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Det. George Marmarou was the Arresting Officer.

On May 22 at 4:44 a.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Bryan Elvina, age 27, single, a sales representative of 3 Colletto Court in Edison for DUI. He was subsequently released pending a court date. Sgt. Joseph Teston was the Arresting Officer.
