Trinitas Medical Center Accepting Donations Of Protective Gear

Donations of N95 masks, eye protectors, sterile gowns, surgical gloves and regular surgical masks are being accepted.

ELIZABETH, NJ — Trinitas Medical Center is not overwhelmed with patients yet but they are accepting donations of personal protective equipment to prepare for the long term during the new coronavirus outbreak.

"We're holding up OK. We’re testing a modest number of inpatients but it's not a surge," said Douglas Harris, spokesman for Trinitas. " As far as personal protective equipment, we have an adequate supply. Since no one knows how long this crisis might last we are making sure our supply can last over the long term, while at the same time adhering to CDC and NJ Department of Health guidelines pertaining to their use."

The medical center at 225 Williamson St. in Elizabeth is accepting donations of approved personal protective equipment, specifically N95 masks, eye protectors, sterile gowns, surgical gloves and regular surgical masks.
