Union Co. Hosting World Cup Day Of Action To Fight Human Trafficking
Union County is hosting a free day of human trafficking awareness training and outreach ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
UNION, NJ — The Union County Human Relations Commission is inviting residents, organizations and student volunteers to join a day of anti-human trafficking education and outreach tied to the upcoming FIFA 2026 World Cup.
The World Cup A.C.T. — Action Collaborative Against Trafficking — Day of Action will be held Saturday, May 30, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Downs Hall at Kean University in Union. The event is being held in partnership with the NJ Coalition Against Human Trafficking.
The day will include human trafficking awareness training, a survivor leader panel, an Action Awareness Fair, and SOAP outreach to hotels and motels in Union, Essex, Hudson and Bergen counties. All participants will receive breakfast, lunch and a T-shirt.

Student volunteers ages 13 and older may participate in the Action Awareness Fair. Separate registration links for students and community members or organizations are available at WorldCupACT.org.
Following the day's programming, participants are invited to attend the NJ Freedom Gala from 6 to 9 p.m. at Galloping Hill Golf Course in Kenilworth. Gala tickets are also available at WorldCupACT.org.
