Union Entrepreneur Looks To Open RockBox Fitness In Hometown Area

UNION, NJ — Union Township resident Pedro Mojica is a true entrepreneur. He has founded and runs three businesses while working full time as a manager of a bank. On top of that, he is now expanding his goals to open two new franchise locations of RockBox Fitness in the Union County area.

"For a while now I have been looking to get out of the corporate world," Mojica said. "I want to be my own boss and started looking at franchises."

Mojica already is very busy running a pet-care business, a photobooth rental company, a men's wedding band e-commerce website, and he's also a Vice President Store Manager for TD Bank. But he wanted more.

That's when Mojica came across RockBox. This would bring everything full circle for him as he was once a very big fitness enthusiast.

"At one point in time I went a few years straight being super consistent with going to the gym and eating healthy. I fell in love with it," Mojica said. "Then I met wife, and we married, had kids and I opened three businesses. By opening a RockBox location it will allow me to get back into the fitness community and lifestyle."

The state-of-the-art fitness franchise combines boxing, kickboxing, and functional training into high-energy group workouts for all. There are no treadmills or "boring routines."

In addition, the studios are equipped with high-end sound systems to "rock the tunes that keep members pumped and pushing hard," according to RockBox.

There is also color-adaptive lighting used to cue another level of intensity.

While there are no set addresses at this time for the new studios, Mojica is looking at real estate in Union Township, Summit, Westfield, and Jersey City as potential sites for his RockBox locations.

Specifically Mojica has his eye on a location on Route 22 in Union. Once locations are finalized they will be released.
