Updated Clark, Garwood Election Totals As More Votes Counted

CLARK/GARWOOD, NJ — Union County has updated its vote tally on Wednesday. Here are the latest election results for the Clark and Garwood races. Official results are not expected to be certified until Friday.

As of Wednesday night, the Union County Board of Elections has counted 258,236 vote-by-mail ballots out of the roughly 372,854 ballots sent out countywide.

In Garwood, there is a contested race on the municipal level with has four candidates running for two open three-year seats on the Borough Council.

• Democrat Russ Graham (Incumbent): 1,379
• Democrat Vincent Kearney: 1,327
• Republican Jesse Wilson: 1,037
• Republican Joseph Nicastro: 1,111

Garwood School Board has an uncontested race with two candidates vying for three seats unopposed.

• Albert Del Conte: 1,507
• Christine Guerriero: 1,546

In Clark, there is an uncontested Mayoral race with Republican incumbent Salvatore F. Bonaccorso running unopposed.

• Salvatore F. Bonaccorso: 7,089

There is also a contested race with six candidates vying for the two, three-year township council seats.

• Republican Angel Albanese (Incumbent): 6,111
• Republican Bill Smith (Incumbent): 6,095
• Republican Jimmy Minniti: 5,999
• Democrat John Victor Jacobson: 3,087
• Democrat Natalie Bassinski: 3,005
• Democrat Charles Bassinski: 2,916

Clark School Board has an uncontested race with three candidates vying for three seats unopposed.

• Megan Harrison: 5,795
• Steven Donkersloot: 5,778
• Robert Brede: 5,678
