Woman 'Seriously Burned' Following House Fire In Linden
Residents were evacuated, including two victims that where rescued from the roof by firefighters early Saturday morning.

LINDEN, NJ — One woman was "seriously burned" and remains in critical condition following a fire at a multi-family home in Linden on Saturday.
Firefighters reported seeing flames coming from the windows of a second floor apartment shortly before 3 a.m. at a four-family home on the 700 block of Brunswick Ave., Linden Fire Chief Joseph Dooley said.
Residents were evacuated, including two victims who were rescued from the roof by firefighters.

One of the residents, a 26-year-old woman, was "seriously burned." She was treated on scene and transported to the Burn Center at St. Barnabas Hospital where she remains in critical condition, Dooley said.
There were no other injuries reported.

The two-alarm fire was quickly brought under control, with help from Garwood, Roselle Park and Elizabeth Fire Departments.
"While residents in most of the building are expected to be able to return, one apartment was heavily damaged and residents will not be able to return until repairs are made," Dooley said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by investigators from the Linden Fire Department and Union County, with assistance from the Linden Police Department and Union County Sheriff’s ID unit.
