YMCA to offer School Age Child Care for Clark Families

The program is open to Clark public elementary school students for the 2020-2021 School Year

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA is excited to offer its School Age Child Care (SACC) Program to the Clark School District for the 2020-2021 School Year. The program is open to elementary school students in grades kindergarten to fifth grade in the District’s two public elementary schools.

Working with the Clark School District, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA has created a program to supplement for the hours children are not in school. The program has several options including before school care, wrap programs for the school day, and after school care. The program also includes transportation to school and the Y program site.

“We know this is a stressful time for families as they struggle to balance work, school schedules, virtual learning, child care and more,” said Kim Decker, the Chief Executive Officer of the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA. “We want to be a support for these families by helping their children thrive in a safe, supportive atmosphere before, after and during the school day.”
