Your Weekend Planner: Comedy, a Carnival and the Clark Benefit Fund's Winter Ball

FAMILY FUN ON FRIDAY: At 7 p.m., come one, come all as Valley Road School hosts the  The Valley Road PTA sponsors this night, full of activities, prizes and refreshments reminiscent of a state fair.

HAVE A BALL FOR A CAUSE: Dance, dine and drink at  on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Gran Centurions. Tickets  are $80 per person and help the Clark Benefit Fund continue its wish granting for Clark organizations and scholarships. The evening includes a five-hour open bar, dinner choice of Chateaubriand or chicken rollatine, plus an array of gift baskets, prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

SPECIAL NEEDS SYMPOSIUM: From 12 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday, the Scotch Plains JCC hosts the second annual featuring a keynote presentation by Lindsey Biel, pediatric occupational therapist and coauthor of "Raising a Sensory Smart Child." Plus, other experts and speakers, breakout sessions, a special needs resource expo and a screening of "Autistic-like: Graham's Story."

DATE NIGHT: Need a good laugh? On Sunday night, (star of Arli$$ and co-star of hit films including Batman, Bull Durham, Cobb, and Good Morning Vietnam) stars in his Emmy®-winning HBO comedy event, Assume the Position at UCPAC.
