YWCA Union County Benefit Set For Oct. 14 In Garwood

"Celebrating the Past Ready for the Future" will take place at The Westwood.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, YWCA Union County will host their in person fall benefit and dinner, Celebrating the Past Ready for the Future, at The Westwood in Garwood. This event, their annual fall fundraiser will honor community partners, and raise funds for their domestic violence programs.

The YWCA Union County will honor community partners Investors Bank and The Westfield Foundation. They will additionally give the first Janice C. Lilien Humanitarian Award to Assemblywoman Annette Quijano. This award has been created in memory of former CEO, Janice C. Lilien who served the YWCA for over 12 years. This award will be given to those who possess a personal passion for the empowerment of women and girls, social justice, and/or service to others, and be a highly engaged member of the Union County community.

The evening will include a cocktail reception and sit-down dinner along with a silent and service auction to support YWCA’s domestic violence programs. The auction will be open from Tuesday until Thursday night, October 14th at 8:35 PM, to place bids and donations through https://event.gives/cprf21. One does not have to attend in person to participate. This will be YWCA’s first in person event since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
