2011 'Mac-Off' Packs in the Crowd at Collingswood Community Center Monday Night
Local chefs competed in the 2011 'Mac-Off,' a macaroni and cheese cook-off.
The Mac-Off, an annual event hosted by the borough to benefit the Food Bank of South Jersey, filled the Collingswood Community Center elbow to elbow, with a line out the door and down the street.
Various chefs from local restaurants competed to make the most-unique version of a traditional dish—macaroni and cheese. The event helped Food Bank of South Jersey promote the commonly-known dish as a food that can be made healthy and wholesome—with the right ingredients.
