Dr. John M. Tedeschi Honored by National Italian-American Political Action Committee with Lifetime Achievement Award

South Jersey physician, Dr. John M. Tedeschi, Chairman & CEO, Continuum Health Alliance; and Chairman & CEO of Advocare, LLC, will be honored by the National Italian-American Political Action Committee with a lifetime achievement award in medicine and entrepreneurship on Saturday, March 10 at the Union League in Philadelphia. The award will be bestowed at the Committee’s 14th annual “Carnevale” event.Â

Nationally recognized for his work in the field of pediatric medicine, Dr. Tedeschi has been recognized by “top” lists and publications including Best Doctors in America, the 2008 Guide to America’s Top Pediatricians, and multiple listings in the National Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals to "Top Doc" profiles in regional and local magazines such as New Jersey Monthly, SJ Magazine and South Jersey magazine. Raised in Camden, he attended Villanova University and Creighton University School of Medicine. Dr. Tedeschi's leadership also extends to the regional medical community. He serves as a member of the Southern NJ Perinatal Cooperative's Board of Directors, the organization he founded in 1978 to improve maternal and neonate healthcare statewide. He has also served as a member of Cooper Health System's and Virtua’s Boards of Trustees. His exemplary career over four decades in pediatric medicine was also recognized in October 2009 with the launch of The John M. Tedeschi Pediatric Institute at Virtua, a $25 million programmatic and philanthropic initiative designed to improve children’s health at the local, state, and national levels.
