Midweek Farmers Market Brings Local Freshness to Westmont Families

Gabe Fletcher talks about how the Wednesday night Westmont Farmer's Market has a flair all its own.

You can always find something new and exciting at the Westmont Farmers Market.

Every Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. (note the extra summertime hour), the intersection of Haddon and Stratford Avenues fills with great music (June 27 featured Jesse “X” Molina), pet-friendly families, and conversational vendors.

  • To promote the sale of New Jersey-grown farm products.
  • To improve the variety, freshness, taste and nutritional value of locally available produce. 
  • To educate consumers on the benefits of locally grown or prepared food products.


and some philosophical:

  • To enhance the quality of life in the greater Haddon Twp. area.
  • To provide a community activity that fosters social gathering and interaction. 
  • To preserve New Jersey’s agricultural heritage and the historical role of farmers markets.


As his usual self, Kelly jumps about, shaking everyone’s hands; dressed as his alter ego “NJ Fresh,” a large ear of corn, Kelly entertains the children and waves at the passing traffic on Haddon Ave.

“NJ Fresh” has also been known to eat corn right off the cob, directly from produce vendors at the Market!
