N.J. Woman Shot, Killed While Sharing Vehicle With 3 Others

A woman was shot and killed in New Jersey late Wednesday while she was a passenger with three others in a rideshare vehicle, according to authorities.

Amber Dudley, 27, of Collingswood died of a gunshot wound just before midnight at a Trenton hospital after she was wounded in a Lyft rideshare, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

She was wounded at about 7:10 p.m. in the area of Mechanics and East Trenton avenues while she was with two other passengers and a driver.

A gunman got in the vehicle in an attempt to rob the car, and Dudley was shot in the torso, according to the MCPO.

The driver fled, and the incident is under investigation. We'll have more details when they become available.
