A Camden man has been charged in a scheme to produce and sell fake government documents, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced on Friday.
Domingo Luna, 33, was charged federally with one count of making fake identification documents and one count of producing counterfeit permanent resident, or “green” cards.

He is accused of making and selling false and fraudulent U.S. social security cards, permanent residence cards and driver’s licenses out of a location in Camden, Fishman said.
During an investigation conducted by special agents of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations conducted during the first half of this month, Luna allegedly sold an undercover agent two fake social security cards, a fraudulent permanent residence card and a Pennsylvania driver’s license.

Luna allegedly took pictures of the officer with a digital camera and produced the documents in Camden. On Dec. 12, law enforcement officers discovered evidence of a sophisticated fraudulent document-making operation, including computer equipment, a digital camera, a laminating machine and at least 25 fake cards while executing a search warrant on his home.
Luna faces a maximum potential penalty of 15 years in prison for producing a false identification card and 10 years in prison for producing a false green card. Each charge also carries with it a maximum fine of $250,000.
Fishman credited special agents of ICE HSI, under the direction of Special Agent in Charge Andrew M. McLees, and ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, under the direction of Newark Field Office Director John Tsoukaris, with the investigation leading to the arrest.
