Camden Man Sentenced in 2012 Shooting Murder

Paul "PJ" Russell, 35, previously pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the death of 25-year-old Joram R. Wise.

A Camden man has been sentenced to 12 years  in state prison for fatally shooting a man in the city in 2012, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said.

Paul “PJ” Russell, 35, previously pleaded guilty to first-degree aggravated manslaughter in the death of 25-year-old Joram R. Wise of Camden.

He must serve 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

Wise was found lying dead on the ground in the parking lot of the Crestbury Apartments in Camden at about 9:47 p.m. on Jan. 10, 2012.
