Camden Man Shot in January Dies Monday Night

His death is being ruled a homicide.

A Camden man died on Monday night following a January shooting that is now being ruled ruled a homicide, Camden County Prosecutor Warren W. Faulk and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said on Tuesday.

Jermaine Walker, 32, was shot on the 1100 block of Baring Street at 9:30 p.m. on Jan. 31. He had collapsed at 6th and Chestnut streets when police arrived on the scene.

He was taken to Cooper Hospital in Camden where he remained until he died Monday night at 10:20 p.m. An autopsy conducted on Tuesday confirmed he died as a result of the gunshot wound.
