Collingswood Man Arrested On Child Porn Charges: Police

The self-employed handyman was arrested following the execution of a search warrant at his home Friday morning.

COLLINGSWOOD, NJ — A Collingswood man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornogrpahy following the execution of a search warrant at his home Friday morning, authorities announced.

Michael McIntyre, 61, was arrested after detectives from the High-Tech Crimes Unit (HTCU) of the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office executed a search warrant at his home on Friday, July 6, according to Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Collingswood Police Chief Kevin Carey.

An FBI electronics detection dog helped investigators find several digital devices inside the home of the self-employed handyman, police said. McIntyre was arrested without incident and charged following an onsite preview of devices found in his home.

The devices were then sent to the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office’s HTCU Forensic lab to be analyzed. McIntyre was processed at the Collingswood Police Department and later released.

Members of Homeland Security Investigations — Cherry Hill Office, the Camden County Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team (SERT), and the Collingswood Police Department assisted the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office HTCU Detectives on this case. The investigation is ongoing.
