Collingswood Receives $200,000 in State Aid for Improvements

Collingswood will receive $200,000 in state aid for improvements in the Colford Avenue Transit Area between Collings Avenue and Newton Lake Drive.
The state announced distribution of the grants Tuesday morning. A total of 391 municipal aid grants totaling $81.6 million were distributed to municipalities throughout the state for the advancement of a variety of transportation projects without burdening the taxpayer.
A total of 6 percent of the 377 successful applicants were awarded grants for non-traditional projects involving pedestrian safety, bikeways and streetscape projects.
