Collingswood Schools Open: What Do You Think?

Collingswood schools had a delayed opening Tuesday morning.

Around 7 a.m. Tuesday morning, Gov. Chris Christie lifted the travel ban on South Jersey that had been in place due to the pending snow storm. A short time later, the Collingswood School District announced it would be opening on a delayed schedule.

While many other local school districts, Camden County College, the Camden County Library System and the county offices were closed on Tuesday, Collingswood school children got on the bus and set out for the day.

The district received praise on Facebook, with one person commending the district for reacting appropriately to a storm “that needed a broom, not a shovel.”
