Collingswood Schools to Provide Laptops to Students

Students in third and ninth grade will have them this year, expansion over the next 3 years, according to njpen.com.

The Collingswood School District will allow students in sixth and ninth grades to bring home laptops this school year, njpen.com reports.

The investment in 550 computers will cost the school district over $153,000 and is aimed at making laptops available for every middle and high school student within the next three years, according to the report.

Families that are part of the free and reduced lunch program at the school are often eligible to receive high speed Internet access from the cable company for about $10 a month.
