Community Garden Seeks Mural Artists

Before they see an array of flowers and vegetables, community gardeners who walk into the plots, tucked on East Collings Avenue, first see a blank wall of nothingness. But, hopefully, not for long.

Collingswood Community Garden is recruiting artists who want to beautify the area by creating a mural at the entrance. The mural would transform the drab wall into a scene of welcoming.

The garden group is soliciting ideas for the mural from the community. Current or aspiring artists should submit a drawing or painting of their ideas to the garden group. If selected, all or part of the art could become the mural’s basis.

If recreating other people’s ideas is more your thing, Collingswood Community Garden also seeks artists to paint the actual mural.
