Environmental Inspection Planned for Camden County Jail
The inspection is part of a lawsuit filed on behalf of the inmates in 2005.

There will be an environmental inspection of the Camden County Jail as one of several steps proposed as part of a lawsuit filed on behalf of the jail’s inmates, according to the Courier Post.
The County will also monitor the jail for between four and six months following a flood of complaints from inmates who say the jail is unsanitary, according to the report.
The lawsuit was initially filed in 2005. At that time, there were 1,794 inmates. By 2010, that number had fallen to 1,467. Capacity for the jail is 1,267, according to the report.
