Sometimes the work week is so strenuous that, by Friday, you're ready to get out of the house and enjoy the weekend. But because your strenuous work weeks leaves no time for planning, Collingswood Patch has compiled the borough's best weekend activities.
Friday, February 11:
- Murder Mystery—Collingswood Band Boosters (the high school marching band) will host this fun-filled Murder Mystery night to benefit their ensemble. Led by Riddlesbrood Touring Theater Company, you can become part of Friday night's performance, titled CSI: Crime Scene Idiots. The event will be held at Collingswood Community Center—located at 30 West Collings Ave. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the Murder Mystery begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25. - Tess McCrindle—Craving a more laid-back, hipster scene this Friday? Then get into the beat as singer/songwriter Tess McCrindle performs at Grooveground coffee shop—located at 647 Haddon Ave. The show starts at 8 p.m. Friday and runs until 10 p.m. Admission is free!
- Photography Exhibit—Need a shot? No, not that kind—the photographic kind. Check out Chris Wagner's photography exhibit; he operates under the name The Cheap Shot Artist. The exhibit will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Salon Blue—located at 43 Haddon Ave.

Saturday, February 12:
- Second Saturday—Get local, with Collingswood's monthly event, Second Saturday. From 6 to 9 p.m., crafters, musicians and artists set-up shop all along Haddon Avenue—between Frazer and East Knights avenues. This rain-or-shine event is always free.
- Beef and Bowl Benefit—Help support Collingswood High School's baseball team by attending their booster club benefit this Saturday. Proceeds benefit the high school's varsity and junior varsity baseball athletes. The event runs from 7 to 11 p.m. at Baker Lanes—located at 761 Cuthbert Blvd. in Cherry Hill. Tickets are $30, and include beverages, appetizers and dinner. - Casona of Collingswood—Being that Valentine's Day falls on a Monday, Casona restaurant—located at 563 Haddon Ave.—will feature a special Valentine's Day menu on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. It's Chef Reyes' special menu, a $45 cost that includes four Cuban and Latin courses. Make your reservations by calling 856-854-5555.
Sunday, February 13:
- Photography Exhibit—Couldn't make it to Saturday's exhibit? Come one over on Sunday and check it out. Photographer Chris Wagner, who operates under the name The Cheap Shot Artist, will have his work on display from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Salon Blue—located at 43 Haddon Ave.
- Casona of Collingswood—The special Valentine's Weekend Menu doesn't end Saturday night! Enjoy dinner at Casona—located at 563 Haddon Ave.—their Valentine's Day menu features Chef Reyes' special dishes. For $45, your meal includes four Cuban and Latin courses.
