Gym Car Burglars Also Committing Bank Fraud, Police Say
Two women who allegedly broke into cars in Cherry Hill have also cashed stolen checks in Oaklyn and tried to do so in Haddon Heights.
Two women who allegedly burglarized cars in the parking lot of Future Fitness early last month are also wanted in Haddon Heights for allegedly attempting to commit bank fraud.
The unidentified women tried to cash a stolen check with a stolen New Jersey ID card at the TD Bank on the White Horse Pike on Jan. 31, Haddon Heights Police said, but weren’t successful.
The two had pulled off a similar fraud at the TD Bank on the White Horse Pike in Oaklyn only minutes before that, police said. They’re driving a newer-model white Buick LaCrosse SUV with a sunroof, police said, and are switching the license plates on the SUV while committing their alleged crimes.

The two are alleged to have burglarized several cars in the parking lot of Future Fitness on Route 70 in Cherry Hill, where Cherry Hill Police said they broke into cars where drivers had left handbags out on a seat, then stole credit cards, which they used to buy gift cards at convenience stores and pharmacies in Camden and Burlington counties.
Haddon Heights Police warned the women are also grabbing checks, cash and ID in other thefts, then trying to commit fraud soon after those thefts.
