High School Softball Coach Had Sexual Relationship With Player: Prosecutor

David H. Light allegedly had a sexual relationship with the 17-year-old in 2008.

A Gloucester City High School teacher and a former softball coach finds himself in legal trouble over an alleged sexual relationship with a former player.

David H. Light, 33, of Gloucester City, is charged with four counts each of second-degree sexual assault and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Gloucester City Police Chief Brian Morrell said.

Light allegedly had a sexual relationship with the girl when she was 17 years old, between May 2008 and December 2008 when he was her coach and substitute teacher.

He was arrested on Friday, and his bail was set at $200,000.
