Lourdes Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary of Meditation Garden
The garden was dedicated in 2008 as the "Canticle of the Creatures Meditation Garden of Peace, Healing and Wholeness"
Lourdes clinicians, pastoral care staff, patients, donors and Collingswood community leaders recently joined Lourdes Wellness staff as they celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Wellness Center’s Meditation Garden.
The garden was dedicated in 2008 as the “Canticle of the Creatures Meditation Garden of Peace, Healing and Wholeness,” and since that time, it has become the home of countless special occasions, including weddings, memorials, wellness classes, a refuge for the sick, and a place for anyone needing quiet reflection. The serene space features sitting areas, a fountain and pond, and serves as a place of respite, peace and healing nestled in busy downtown Collingswood.
Pictured #1 - Group: The garden anniversary coincided during the Feast of St. Francis, who gave thanks to God for all living creatures. As such, pet therapy dogs from Tri-State K-9 Crisis Response Team, a partner of Lourdes Health System whose dogs/handlers provide emotional support to patients at Lourdes campuses each week, attended the celebration.
