Pennsauken Woman Stabbed at Cinn. Wawa

Kartelina Holt of Sicklerville is accused of stabbing Ashley Anderson with a box cutter in a dispute early Wednesday morning.

A woman stabbed this morning in an argument at is expected to make a full recovery, according to local police. 

Around 7 a.m. Wednesday, authorities say, Ashley Anderson, 25, of Pennsauken, and Kartelina Holt, 32, of Sicklerville, who police say were acquainted with one another, were seen to be fighting at the Church Road convenience store.

As Anderson walked outside toward her car, she was allegedly approached from behind by Holt, who was brandishing a box cutter, said Cinnaminson Police Sgt. William Obuchowski.

"She stabbed or sliced the girl three times in the back of the head and neck, went in the front and cut her face in a couple of places," said Obuchowski.

The fight was broken up by a mutual acquaintance at the scene. Holt reportedly then fled across Church Road to a wooded area next to  and disposed of the weapon. When she emerged from the woods, Holt was brought into custody.

Anderson was transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. Obuchowski said her wounds "weren't as bad as they looked."

Police also learned as a result of the investigation that Hold is an undocumented Barbadian immigrant. She was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and tampering with evidence.

Holt is being held in Burlington County Jail on $100,000 full-cash bail.
