Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Camden
The victim was found lying on the sidewalk, suffering from gunshot wounds Monday night.

A man was shot to death in Camden Monday night, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said.
Police officers discovered 24-year-old Michael Burrell Jr., of Camden, lying on the sidewalk, suffering from gunshot wounds on the 500 block of Jackson Street in Camden while responding to a ShotSpotter activation for multiple gunshots around 7:43 p.m.
He was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at about 7:49 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests had been made as of Tuesday morning.
