Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in South Jersey
A man was found shot to death early Wednesday morning.

A 31-year-old man was shot to death in Camden Wednesday morning, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said.
Officers found Jahid Hudson lying on the living room floor of a home in the area of 8th and Jefferson streets in Camden around 12:20 a.m.
He was transported by ambulance to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was pronounced dead at 12:54 a.m.

Investigators believe Hudson ran from the area of Ferry Avenue to an acquaintance’s home for help after being shot.
Camden County Communications had received a 9-1-1 call, and the Camden County Police Department’s Real-Time Tactical Operational Intelligence Center (RTTOIC) received a ShotSpotter activation for gunfire in the 700 block of Ferry Avenue.

An investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have been made at this time. Detectives are working to determine a motive.
