Police Search for Suspect in Merchantville Bank Robbery

The suspect is described as a black man about six-feet tall and wearing a sweatshirt, dark sunglasses, and a Giants hat.

Law enforcement officials are searching for a suspect who allegedly robbed a bank in Merchantville, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Merchantville Police Chief Wayne Bauer announced Thursday afternoon.

At 9:45 am, police responded to the Merchantville Bank of America at 23 Maple Avenue for a report of a robbery.

The suspect allegedly entered the bank the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.

He then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a vehicle from the scene.

He is described as a black man about six-feet tall and wearing a sweatshirt, dark sunglasses, and a Giants hat.
