Quilted Nest Sews A Special Fabric
The Quilted Nest creates a Quilt of Valor for charity.

Made in times of war, these quilts served as tangible reminders of the thanks Americans had for those protecting their country.
To solidify the message of its Charity Sew Program, Collingswood-based business stitches a Quilt of Valor every Monday.

"Most of our sewers are making quilts for this cause, but anyone can sew for any charity they choose," said Robin Laino, owner of .
These large quilts are sewn to a minimum of 55 by 65 inches in total with a longarmer, and are made out of high-quality fabric.

After a Quilt of Valor is made, it's bound, then washed and labeled, before being set in a case for presentation.
At this point, the quilt is awarded to the deserving party.
The quilt may find its way to a military service unit that is returning home after combat, it may be draped in a military hospital, it may be given to a single soldier.
But wherever it ends up, a Quilt of Valor rouses significant emotion in its receiver. Recipients have been known to be moved to tears when gifted with a Quilt of Valor.
mission extends to a larger-scale operation, via the Quilts of Valor Foundation.
As of this past February, the foundation reports more than 37,000 quilts being given to military service men and women.
And since appreciation for our country's protectors begins at home, invites residents and visitors to its in Collingswood—located at 709 Haddon Avenue—to join in making the next Quilt of Valor.
