
The USRowing Club National Championships are set for Aug. 13-16 on Cooper River.
There will be more than 2,000 entries from 147 clubs across the nation, making this the largest USRowing event ever, according to the Camden County Freeholder Board.
“Having the ability and capacity to host the largest USRowing event ever in the nation is an honor and a testament to Cooper River Park and Camden County,” said Camden County Freeholder Jeffrey Nash, who spearheaded the construction of the Camden County Boathouse and a $5 million enhancement to Cooper River Park.

Work that has taken place at the park since its last USRowing event include an expansive permanent bathroom facility, a new boat launch and recently installed vista decks along the banks of the waterway for viewing purposes.
“Cooper River’s 2,000 meter straightaway is widely known as one of the best rowing venues in the country, and we are proud to once again be the home of this world-class regatta,” Nash said.

This is the third time Camden County has hosted the USRowing Club National Championships since the boathouse opened nine years ago. According to Rowan University’s Rohrer College of Business, more than $10 million annually is brought into the county hosting this event.
Cooper River Park spans more than 340 acres spans Collingswood, Haddon Township, Cherry Hill and Pennsuaken.
