South Jersey Man Fatally Shot Behind Apartment Complex Sunday Night

No arrests have been made in connection with the murder as of Monday morning.

A Camden man was fatally shot Sunday night at the All American Gardens apartment complex, Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Camden County Police Chief Scott Thomson said Monday morning.

Police found 35-year-old Jose Alvarez lying on the ground behind an apartment building after being called to the scene for a report of a gunshot victim around 10:21 p.m.

Alvarez was transported to Cooper University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 10:41 p.m.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. No arrests have made at this time.
