The Great Escape: Mütter Museum
Need somewhere to escape to this weekend? Check out the hottest local spots.
My husband and I chose to take a ride over the bridge this week, to a museum located in the heart of Center City.
But this museum certainly did not offer your typical tour of historic Philadelphia. That's because it was a freakishly delightful trip—to the Mütter Museum.
Located inside the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, admission was reasonably priced, at $14 for adults; and $10 for those in the military, senior citizens aged 65 and above, and students with valid I.D. While the Mütter Museum also has pricing for children, due to the severity and graphic nature of some medical oddities located in this museum, I would strongly suggest you do not bring your children.

We saw the famous Soap Woman exhibit, the famous presidential tumor on display, and learned other fun factoids and information about past presidents.
The museum even offers a cell phone tour, in which patrons can listed to their cell phones while touring exhibits, and learn various facts about the medical oddities and history of each.

There are also several eateries surrounding the museum, at which you can extend your stay in the city afterward.
This particular museum is strictly a daytime trip location, with hours Sunday through Monday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. But it is well worth a trip over the bridge.
So grab your significant other, and take one day this weekend to do something different. You deserve it.
