Three shows left in the run of Aida

Elton John & Tim Rice's Aida Takes the Stage at Haddonfield Plays and Players

HADDONFIELD, N.J.– Based on the opera by Giuseppe Verdi, Elton John and Time Rice, Aida is a timeless love story featuring an award-winning pop/rock score from the seasoned pop duo who brought musical life to Disney’s The Lion King. With rousing rock numbers and heart-wrenching ballads that earned the musical five Tony Award nominations, Haddonfield Plays and Players brings the New York Broadway experience of Aida to its stage this May.

The story is set in the midst of conflict between Egypt and Nubia. Radamas, the Egyptian captain, has ordered his men to capture a group of Nubian women. Among the women there is one who has caught his interest, Aida, the Egyptian princess. They fall in love but how could it ever work with their countries at war? Will they stand by their people or turn their backs for love?

Three shows remain.
