Utility Work to Impact Traffic Next Week
PSE&G will conduct underground utility work in Camden.

A portion of South Broadway (CR 551) in Camden will be reduced to one lane of traffic next week to accommodate the installation of underground utility work by PSE&G, county officials said this week.
Traffic will alternate in each direction on Broadway between Woodland Avenue and 6th Street, so drivers should expect delays and give themselves extra time to reach their destinations.
This alternating traffic pattern will be for a 24-hour period during the project, so the roadway will not be reopened to two lanes through the installation period.

“This installation is part of the project to realign Broadway in Camden City,” Camden County Freeholder Susan Shin Angulo, liaison to the Camden County Department of Public Works, said. “Whenever you are driving through a road construction zone, please prepare for traffic pattern changes, and be observant of posted instructions or directions from police officers. In addition, finding an alternate route to your destination would also be advisable during the duration of this project.”
The exact timing of the project is dependent upon the weather and other factors.
