Five people involved in that accident were hospitalized with two fatalities, the Camden Prosecutor’s Office previously reported. Although the two fatalities weren’t identified, nj.com says one was Allen and the other was a passenger in another vehicle that included a woman and her two daughters.
His sister told nj.com Allen meant the world to Niessen.

"They were opposites," Carol DePietropolo told the website. "She was bubbly and outgoing, my brother was stern-looking with a sick, crude sense of humor. She loved everything pretty, he loved dirty. But they both loved cooking and the beach. There were a lot of differences and a lot of the same."
As of early Thursday afternoon, a GoFundMe page set up to help the family pay for the funeral had raised $14,35 toward its $25,000 goal.
“If we reach or exceed our goal, any proceeds over the cost of funeral expenses will go to the family to help cover medical expenses for her fiancé, who is still in the hospital in critical condition,” the organizer of the page wrote. “He will need several surgeries over the coming days and months of recovery (if not years).”
