Six candidates will vie for a chance to claim late Sen. Frank Lautenberg's seat this fall. Tuesday's primary will determine who appears on the October ticket.

It's a primary, and it's for the special state election to determine who will fill the U.S. Senate seat occupied by the late Frank Lautenberg, who passed away in June at age 89.

The four Democratic candidates are: Newark Mayor Cory Booker, who visited Collingswood last month, and is the frontrunner in the election; U.S. Rep. Rush Holt; Sheila Oliver, speaker of the state General Assembly; and U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone.Â
