Woman Killed in Stabbing Monday Night at the Heights of Collingswood Apartments

Officers found Joseline Perez with multiple stab wounds in a bedroom in the apartment, police said.

Collingswood, NJ -- A Collingswood woman was killed in a stabbing incident Monday night, the Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and Collingswood Police Chief Kevin Carey reported today.

At around 8 p.m. Monday night, Collingswood officers responded to a call in reference to a domestic dispute at the C Building at the Heights of Collingswood Apartments, the Office of the Camden County Prosecutor states.

Family members directed the officers to a bedroom in the apartment. The officers then found Collingswood resident Joseline Perez, 36, who moved into the apartment not long ago, with multiple stab wounds. Perez's estranged husband, Timonthy Moorman, 41, of Camden, was also found with self-inflicted wounds.

Perez was pronounced deceased at 9:52 p.m. Moorman is being charged with first-degree Murder, the press release states.

Moorman was brought to Cooper University Hospital in Camden and is currently listed in critical condition, the press release reports.
