African-American Spirituals: A Concert by featuring David. S. Gooding

Wednesday, February 17, 2016, 7:00 p.m., Cranford Community Center, 220 Walnut Avenue, Cranford, NJ 07016

The Cranford Public Library and the Cranford Historical Society are very pleased to celebrate Black History Month with a performance of African-American spirituals by tenor David S. Gooding. Mr. Gooding was born in Barbados and is a a graduate of the Royal College of Music in London. He has performed in many venues in the U.S. and abroad, including Westminster Abbey, and is currently the organist at St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Elizabeth. Mr. Gooding will be accompanied on piano by Kim Baker. Admission to the program is free and all are welcome.
