CRANFORD, NJ — Paul A. Gallo, a Cranford resident and current Township Committee member, is running for re-election, saying he wants to continue focusing on improving quality of life and public safety in town.
Gallo is running on the Democratic line in this year’s local election.

Gallo said public service and community involvement have long been a part of his life, both professionally and through volunteer work.
“As far as I can remember, I have wanted to help others both professionally, and within my community through volunteer efforts,” Gallo said.
He said serving on the Township Committee over the past several years has been a meaningful experience and one he hopes to continue.
“Over the course of my life, that service has taken different shapes, but I am humbled that for the past 3 years I have had the opportunity to serve Cranford’s residents as a member of the Township Committee,” he said. “Despite all the chaos in the world, Cranford has been a persistent success story, and I hope to continue that success.”
Gallo said his focus would remain on improving quality of life in Cranford, with an emphasis on public safety.
He pointed to traffic management in the downtown area and pedestrian and cyclist safety throughout town as key priorities.
“The most important issue is continuing to improve the quality of life in Cranford, including through public safety in town,” he said. “Through improvements to traffic management downtown, coupled with pedestrian and cyclist safety throughout Cranford, we can achieve a higher standard and quality of life for all Cranford residents.”
