• One More Summer Paddle: Discover the Rahway River History That Shaped Cranford (tapinto.net) — Cranford residents still have time this season to rent a canoe or kayak from the Cranford Canoe Club and quietly explore the Rahway River right in town. The piece traces how the river powered early mills, inspired lavish river carnivals, and led to Cranford's "Venice of New Jersey" nickname, while noting today's parkland protections and ongoing flooding concerns.
• Football: Cranford Wins 31-24, over Bernards on Opening Night (tapinto.net) — Cranford High's football team opened its season with a 31–24 road win over Bernards, avenging last year's loss and jumping out to a big early lead. Strong performances from Aidan Capizzi, Logan Murray, Gabe Worrell, and kicker Andrew Bentrewicz sealed the victory. Cranford now turns to its home opener against Scotch Plains-Fanwood on Thursday night.
