• Cranford police officer gets DWI ticket after crash (nj1015.com) — An off-duty Cranford police officer, Nelson Hearns Jr., has been suspended after receiving DWI, leaving-the-scene, and failure-to-report tickets following an early-morning crash at Centennial Avenue and East South Avenue. A longtime member of the Cranford force known for past lifesaving work, Hearns now faces an internal investigation by township police.
