Cranford High School Presents a One Night Fundraising Concert with Rupert Holmes and Friends

Cranford High School will welcome legendary Tony winner, singer songwriter, composer, playwright, and author Rupert Holmes for "CHS presents Rupert Holmes, 'Escape (The Piña Colada Song),' and Friends — Music of Broadway, Disney and More!" on Friday, November 20, 2026, at 201 West End Place, Cranford, NJ 07016. Doors open at 6:00 PM, concert begins at 7:00 PM.

The intimate high school venue will provide a rare opportunity and up-close experience while bringing the community together for an important cause. Best known for the international #1 hit "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)," other Pop hits, Broadway musicals and plays including The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Curtains, and Pirates! The Penzance Musical, Rupert Holmes has built a celebrated career across music, theatre and television, as well as writing songs for other artists like Barry Manilow, Melissa Manchester, Dolly Parton and most notably Barbra Streisand and is also a New York Times best-selling author.

His appearance at Cranford High School promises an exceptional evening of storytelling, artistry, and unforgettable performances. This Concert Fundraiser benefits the CHS Performing Arts Department's educational trip to Disney in April 2027. Proceeds will help support students as they prepare for an enriching educational experience focused on performance, creativity, and the performing arts. "This concert is a tremendous opportunity for our students and our entire community," said Anthony J. Rafaniello, Director of Choral Activities of Cranford High School. " It will be an exciting evening and a great opportunity for the students to meet, work, and perform with such an accomplished artist. We are incredibly proud of the dedication and talent within the Performing Arts Department, and we are thrilled to welcome Rupert Holmes and his special guests for an evening that will create lasting memories while helping our students reach an important goal."
