Amphetamine Arrest On North Avenue East: Cranford Police

Daniel Rodriguez and Emmanuel Rivera were charged with possession, police said.

CRANFORD, NJ - A 33-year-old and 30-year-old man from Carteret were arrested and charged on possession offenses after a motor vehicle stop on Aug. 1., according to the Cranford Police Department.

According to authorities, Patrolman Christopher Gross stopped a 2006 Acura on North Avenue East and the Garden State Parkway 137 Exchange for a headlamp out. Following an investigation on scene, Gross arrested the driver and a passenger, Daniel Rodriguez and Emmanuel Rivera respectively, for possession of suspected tramadol and amphetamine found inside the vehicle, police said.

In addition, Rodriguez was also charged with possession of suspected THC oil and marijuana, police said. They were both processed and provided with Superior Court appearance dates. In addition, Rodriguez was issued motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, police said.
